Waweru Kimani John(born 18 September 1999), popularly known by his stage name Kim Johnne is a Kenyan Dancehall/Afrodancehall recording artist, dancer and a Computer Scientist from Kabatini, Nakuru. He started singing in 2004 while still in junior school. He wrote his first song back in 2007 but never got to record it at the time.

Later in 2009 he joined the church choir where he nurtured his talent as he grew up. While in high school, Kim Johnne wrote more songs and in 2017 recorded the first song 'I Never Knew Him' which was later released in 2018. In the same year he released 'Dream Killers' as his first solo song which became a great inspiration to many people who knew the song. The same year also saw him release 'Nothing Gonna Break Us' too.

He's been releasing songs since then, now with more songs like 'Chase My Dreams', 'Marry Me', 'Friends', 'Cheza', 'Nadai' among other tracks as well as collaborations with other artists.
