JOHN KENNEDY MAGNUS A fast-rising Nigerian Afrobeats singer, songwriter, stage performer, photographer, blogger, and recording artist, commonly known by his stage name of "Mr Kendy," He was born in 1998 in Katsina State, Dutsin Ma katsina to be precise. Mr kendy has been doing music even right from the age nine (9).

Mr Kendy came to Lagos, Nigeria, with his mother when he was three years old.
After living there for five years, they moved to Kogi, before making the journey to Abuja in 2007 to pursue his studies at the Government Secondary School Kubwa Abuja, Nigeria.

He is the first and only son in the family; his mother is from Kogi State in Nigeria and his father is from Imo State.

At the young age of 9, Mr Kendy discovered his affinity for music. As he grew older, he adored Ice Prince and Davido and had all of their records.
Because of these two artists, who had always pushed and inspired him, he made the passionate decision to pursue a career in music.
