Facyl Kembo - Kembo Bassey, popularly known as Facyl Kembo, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Facyl has his roots deep in music as he began writing as a teenager. Inspired by the golden age of hip hop and RnB, he has created a style around various genres with beautifully composed songs. His most recent project, Claustrophobic, was created by a collaboration with the Canadian Songwriter Ron Mollinga. The Duo goes by the name Facyl & Mollinga; originators of the AFCAN genre (African & Canadian Music).
Ron Mollinga – Ron lives in Port McNeill, B.C., Canada, and attended university at Vancouver Island University in Nanaimo for Jazz, Western Washington University for Jazz, and Simon Fraser University for Education. He taught grades 3 to 6 and music for 32 years in Port McNeill and has had the opportunity to play bass guitar with Juno Award winners like Valdy and Brad Turner, and taught music to singers like Clifton Murray from The Tenors. He has played piano, guitar, and bass guitar for over 45 years and is also a bass transcriber and music copyist for “The Bassment” (www.thebassment.info). Just a few of his influences include recording artists Sade, Jamiroquai, FourPlay, Rush, James Jamerson, and Jaco Pastorius.
